Exclusive beer launched by Lion’s Tail Brewing Co. in partnership with Community First Fox Cities Marathon Presented by Miron Construction

NEENAH, Wis. (Aug. 20, 2024) — The Community First Fox Cities Marathon Presented by Miron Construction in collaboration with Lion’s Tail Brewing Co. in Neenah, is proud to announce a new beer named ‘Pace Yourself.’ The 4.2% ABV pilsner, with toasted wheat and noble hop varieties, celebrates the spirit of community and endurance.

Canned on Thursday, Aug. 22, ‘Pace Yourself’ will be available for purchase beginning Friday, Aug. 23 at Lion’s Tail Brewing Co., located at 116 S. Commercial St. in Neenah (map). Additionally, it will be available for purchase at Lion’s Tail’s Wauwatosa location and the following local retail stores:

• Cellars Wine & Spirits – Neenah
• Festival Foods – Darboy
• Festival Foods – Neenah
• Festival Foods Northland – Appleton

“Enjoying a beer after conquering a difficult run is a rite of passage for many in the racing community,” Julie Johnson, Fox Cities Marathon race director, explained. “What better way to celebrate than with a refreshing local brew? We’re thrilled to partner with Lion’s Tail Brewing Co. to offer our participants and supporters a true taste of Wisconsin fun. Located less than a mile from Riverside Park where all participants cross our finish line, Lion’s Tail is a great spot to celebrate after any of the Community First Fox Cities Marathon’s events.”

“When the Fox Cities Marathon approached us about a collaboration, we jumped at the chance to create a one-of-a-kind beer for the community,” Liz Welch, marketing & business operations manager at Lion’s Tail Brewing Co., explained. “With people traveling from all over the country for the Fox Cities Marathon’s weekend of events, we’re also having our ninth annual Oktoberfest celebration on Friday, Sept. 20 and Saturday, Sept. 21 at our brewery in Neenah. The event will take place during the Ascension 5K and SCHEELS 10K races so participants, friends and family can enjoy the new ‘Pace Yourself’ beer during or after the festivities. We will also keep our tent up through Sunday for anyone to come down and celebrate with us after the big race.”

The ‘Pace Yourself’ can label, designed by a local graphic artist with Lion’s Tail, features the Fox River and the tagline, “Celebrating our community one sip and one step at a time.” Available as a can pour or in four-packs of 16-oz. cans to go, ‘Pace Yourself’ can be purchased starting Aug. 23, until it sells out.
