Exploring the Fox Cities trails and highlighting our favorite spots on the course

The courses featured in this year’s Community First Fox Cities Marathon Presented by Miron Construction include some of the Fox Cities’ most beautiful attributes. Both the full marathon and ThedaCare Half Marathon courses feature several miles of paved trails, water views, and tree-lined streets, in addition to crossing over the 1,600-foot Trestle Trail bridge. The bridge, which resides over the Fox River and Little Lake Butte des Morts, is the longest pedestrian bridge in Wisconsin connecting two cities – Menasha and Neenah.

A highlight of the course – marathon and half marathon participants will enjoy exceptionally scenic views while traversing the paved trails, all of which wind through area parks:

Whether you’re a local participant, or visiting the Fox Cities prior to race weekend, consider running, walking or biking some of these trails in advance. Not only will you get a feel for sections of the race day course, but you may discover parts of the Fox Cities you didn’t even know were there!
