What’s new at this year’s weekend of events?

While we are excited to continue our traditions of giving back to our community, this year there are a number of new things to look forward to at our 30th running of the Community First Fox Cities Marathon Presented by Miron Construction on Sept. 17-19, 2021.

Trucks for Participants and Kids – sponsored by Bergstrom
Every year, Bergstrom Automotive supports our events in fun ways from pace car Corvettes to cars, trucks and vans used on race week. This year, Bergstrom will also be donating a truck that gets wrapped with all the participants’ names on it and a truck that kids can write their names on at the Guardian Kids Fun Run.

SCHEELS 10K
Participants in the Ascension 5K and SCHEELS 10K will get a first look at the newly renovated Lakeshore Avenue trail. The stretch along Lakeshore Ave. was recently improved by the City of Neenah to be more walker/runner friendly. This will also be the first time the 10K will take place. The event features a flat course that weaves through historic neighborhoods and picturesque waterfront views. Both of Saturday’s events also wrap up at the same finish line as the Sunday Marathon & Half Marathon. Come experience the unbeatable energy and excitement!

Chick-Fil-A
Chick-Fil-A joins us as an in-kind food sponsor this year and will be providing chicken nuggets for the Kids Run participants as well as chicken sandwiches for the 5K and 10K participants on Saturday.

Virtual race experience and enhanced race app
This year, we are offering a virtual experience like no other. Our virtual race kits are specially designed to provide you with the spirit and community support our in-person events are known for, all delivered to your home. Virtual experiences feature a medal, shirt, race bib, gaiter and much more. You can even run your event at the same time as everyone else through our new Fiserv race app.

Commemorative gear
This year, as we celebrate the 30^th running of the Community First Fox Cities Marathon, not only will we have a neck gaiter for all participants, but you can also purchase a commemorative quarter-zip pullover jacket!

This year, for our 30^th Ascension donated $1,000 to the marathon to use for the celebration. We have decided to give it away in prizes at the OSMS Health & Wellness Expo. Attend the expo, sign up at the Ascension booth and get entered for a chance to win!
