The Community First Fox Cities Marathon has always strived to reduce the impact on our environment. This year we’re increasing our efforts by doing the following: :

• Increased recycling efforts on the course and at the finish line.
• Shuttles to bring participants to the start line, to relay points, and back to their car or hotel.
• Donating all discarded clothes to local charities.
• Securing local food sources and donating leftover food to area food banks and shelters.
• Collecting used running shoes through Nike's Reuse-a-Shoe program, where the rubber soles are recycled into track surfaces.
• Encouraging car pooling with a link to Pickup Pal on our website.

Pick-up Pal is a new website used by special events to connect participants going to and from the event so they can share a ride and make a positive impact on the earth.
