APPLETON, Wis. (Aug. 16, 2021) – The Community First Fox Cities Marathon Presented by Miron Construction has reached its capacity for the full marathon distance.

“We knew this would be a big year for the marathon as many people are excited to get back to in-person events and runners miss the atmosphere of a race,” explained race director Tara Perre. “Although the 26.2-mile event has reached capacity for runners, there are many other distances people can participate in that still have room including our newly added SCHEELS 10K. We are encouraging people to sign up early as those events are also filling up quickly.”

The Community First Fox Cities Marathon weekend of events features other distance races that are also filling up fast, so early registration is encouraged. Currently capacity for the other distance events is as follows:

  • ThedaCare Half marathon is 70 percent full
  • Orthopedic & Sports Institute Relay marathon is 30 percent full
  • SCHEELS 10K is 57 percent full
  • Ascension 5K is 37 percent full

There is only one month left to get signed up for race weekend.
