New PaceSetters President Mark Jacklin joins Community First Fox Cities Marathon Board of Directors

The Community First Fox Cities Marathon Presented by Miron Construction is excited to announce Mark Jacklin as the newest member to its Board of Directors.

Jacklin currently serves as the Director of Strategic Operations for Red-D-Arc Welderentals, a business unit of Airgas, in Kaukauna and recently took over as the PaceSetters of the Fox Cities running club president.

“I’m quite honored and humbled to be part of the Fox Cities Marathon Board of Directors,” said Jacklin. “This is a great opportunity for me to work alongside some outstanding community leaders and to contribute to the marathon ,which over its 30 year history has become such an important and ‘core’ event for our community.”

Jacklin has been running for more than 10 years. He completed his first marathon with the Community First Fox Cities Marathon in 2013 after using the PaceSetters Training Runs. He has since ran multiple 5ks, 10ks and half marathons along with six full marathons, most recently completing the New York City Marathon in 2019.

“As President of the Pacesetters organization and an avid runner, I am truly looking forward to what the future holds in store for the Fox Cities Marathon and PaceSetters,” said Jacklin.  “I am committed to growing the relationship that our organizations have had over their 30-year history and building an even stronger running community in the years to come.”

The Pacesetters of the Fox Cities is a 501(c)3 tax exempt, non-profit running club dedicated to increasing activity, improving nutrition, and enhancing the community’s and member’s enjoyment of the sports of running, jogging, walking, and individual health activities for all ages and abilities.  Started in 1983, the club  hosts year-round events designed for all abilities including monthly fun run/walks, the annual St. Joe’s Run for St. Joseph Food Pantry and provides weekly training runs for the Community First Fox Cities Marathon and half marathon from late May until race weekend.
