Fox Cities Marathon announces Tara Perre as race director

The Community First Fox Cities Marathon Presented by Miron Construction announces Tara Perre as its race director.

Perre was previously the vice president of communication and marketing for Community First Credit Union for almost three years and has been helping with the Fox Cities Marathon for the past two years. In addition to working closely with the marathon, Perre is also an avid runner, having completed two marathons, five half marathons, two relay marathons and numerous 10Ks and 5Ks.

“I love that I get to take my passion and make it my work,” Perre said. “Meeting the runners who participate in the Fox Cities Marathon weekend of events and hearing their stories is the most incredible part of this job. This race is all about the community and it shows on race day and every day leading up to race weekend. The way the community rallies around this event and helps make it possible is such an exclusive experience to the marathon and to be a part of that is an incredible honor.”

“As we approach our 30-year milestone with the Fox Cities Marathon, we’re also entering a new era with a race director who will do amazing things with this race,” Laurie Butz, senior vice president of business development, investments and insurance services for Community First Credit Union and the Community First Fox Cities Marathon, said. “She has such a passion for running but even more for this community and it shows in her work in putting together the Fox Cities Marathon.”

Perre has helped bring together several new experiences for the race including, last year’s Virtual Race and this year’s new SCHEELS 10K Run/Walk.
